Jiayuguan is the western starting point of the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty, and the important gate of ancient “the Silk Road”. This project is located in the place about 1400m to the east of Jiayuguan urban area. The boundaries of building land are controlled by three lines with space meanings: the geographical line of Jiayuguan---Shanhaiguan lies on the north, the eastern controlling line points at the first pier of Great Wall which is located 7km away from the south of Jiayuguan urban area, the western controlling line points at Cantilever Great Wall which is located 7km away from the north of Jiayuguan urban area. All the controlling lines are both controlling elements and emotional elements, which bear the experience of the Great Wall across the time and space.
