Beijing Digital Express & Information Center is an integrated services building of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication. It locates in Houshidao Hutong, Chaonei Road of Dongcheng District. The Building faces the Second Ring Road in the east, the office building of China National Offshore Oil Corporation on the opposite side of the west side road, Chaonei Road to the south, Jialong Tower in southwest, the Dongsi dilapidated dwellings in the north and the cultural Relics Preservation building, Wu Ye House Courtyard at the northwest corner. According to height and total area restrictions, the outline of the building is designed as continuously variable streamlines which not only weakens the control of high limit making full use of the space, but also as an opportunity creates an image of simplicity and smooth of construction. The flowing architectural form and the abstract operation ways of the information center have a fairly associative relation and the surface combination of metal materials has further strengthened this image. Between the ribbed glass, the bronze “antique shelf” and the information barcode, between the flowing titanium-zinc plate and the turning scholar, the building modeling has become the spokesman of the enterprise image.
