The design of the library accomplished the requirement of the overall layout, since it using “square” as the principle to perform the characteristics of the library.
the integration of form and function
The library is divided into three parts, which are open reading, stored reading, and Auxiliary room. In the design, the open reading space is assigned into a square volume. Through pulling the main shape in both directions, courtyard and garden are naturally formed. Thus increases the richness of the space.
Continuous and richness rhythm of the space
Apply “Garden- Hallway-Courtyard” as the main order to connected different spaces. Then add corridor, , and patio space improve the quality of the space.
During the construction documents design phase, REVIT and MAGIC CAD are used as the tool to achieve integrated 3D design between different professions. Among the whole process, ductwork collaboration helps to dealing with most on-site problems before they happen, ensure the completion of the building. Further more, 3D drawings could well guide the on-site installation, in which way make the work more efficient.
