Armed Police Command College new campus is located inHedong District in Tianjin. This college is a famous military academy to culture advanced talents in commanding the army. The overall layout is a pattern of axisymmetric and square. According to the functions, in the planning, we divide the main building, Teaching Office Complex, into three connecting building masses like a shape of “品”.  With the auditorium in the eastern side and the Library in the western side, the main buildings spread in a line at the north of the main plaza on the north side, forming the posture low to high and front to back, extending the main buildings’ width furthest and enhancing the sense of closure of the main entrance square strongly.
We made a integrated design for the main building, auditorium and library. They have stone wall in beige which is matched by dark grey metal eaves in order to represent the buildings’ thickness. Additionally, the vertical elevation lines on the facades are emphasized. The repeated rhythm and sometime changed tones bring concise, solemn, and magnificent style to the building group, which express not only the toughness but also the scholar atmosphere of a military academy
