The main structures of this design are situated along Jiangbin Avenue, comprising of the Television Centre building to the east, and the Broadcast Centre building to the west. The television station’s broadcasting studio is positioned along the West Ring South Road. This method of layout creates an excellent view of this group of structures on the river coast. The several broadcasting studios gradually diverge according their functional requirements.As a form of media and information distribution, broadcast and television require high efficiency and speed; with this in mind, circulation network and routes within the buildings are simplified and shortened to their maximum extent, ensuring their clarity and ease of identifying.
The unique environmental design is expressed chiefly in the continuity in the single-planed greening, secondly in the spatial depth of greening and thirdly in the patterning of the green design. In this design we have adopted design elements such as exterior glass curtain walls, raised ground floor and ventilation corridors, etc. to improve the buildings’ adjustment to the surrounding environment.
According to the functional requirements within the structures we have adopted a design method of contrasting solids and cavities, using detail design of elements such as windows and facade modules, etc. to strive for an appearance of unity and harmony amongst the structures.
